HALF OF my adult life has been spent behind store windows as an itinerant visual merchandiser, creating settings around a pair of shoes or recreating stories about an item of jewelry.
The other half of my adult life is spent with myriad other windows, in myriad other places, seeing streams of humanity in action and getting off to play with them before they pass by.
